We want you to hear the best that you can with the hearing that you have using the most appropriate Hearing Aid System. Therefore we have described below what you can expect at every stage of your association with Regional Hearing Services.

Initially there will be a need for at least three points of contact to ensure that together we help you hear better. These contacts are:-

The hearing test

The consultation will comprise of different hearing assessments all carried out to the British Society of Audiology standards:-

Hearing history evaluation

This allows us to understand your problems to enable us to direct you to the right solution

Otoscopic observation

An examination of your outer ear, canal and tympanic membrane (ear drum) with the aid of an otoscope

Audiometric evaluation

A presentation of sounds to determine the minimum decibel levels that you require to just hear different tones

Full explanation of results

An opportunity for you to understand your hearing and how it can be improved

Demonstration of improved hearing

We will demonstrate with a suitable hearing system the benefits that you can expect from correctly prescribed hearing aids

A point at which your needs are matched with the right hearing system that meets both your hearing and cosmetic requirements

The fitting

We will return with your hearing solution to explain all that you need to know about how to hear better, the fitting will comprise of explanation and demonstration on :-

  • Inserting and removing of your hearing aids
     
  • Use of any additional features
     
  • Battery changing
     
  • Cleaning and maintenance to ensure optimum performance and hearing
     
  • Overnight Storage
     
  • Setting of a rehabilitation program to enable you to adjust to a new hearing experience
     
  • Explanation of ongoing service and support

The progress call

We are confident that you will be completely satisfied with your new hearing aids. Every new user is contacted to discuss their new hearing experiences. If required, a further visit will be offered at no charge to you so that any advice or assistance can be provided.

Our long term commitment

(all free of charge)

Our services to you are not short term but will last for the life of your hearing aids. We will contact you regularly to offer on-going hearing assessments and hearing aid maintenance or reprogramming if appropriate.

This same service is available upon request and also at no charge.
